HAIR AND MAKEUP ARTIST SERVICES
• Our rates for Halloween / costume makeup and hair services average $165-195/hr. Our minimum is $250 for up to an hour and a half of work for more basic face paint. Special effects will be estimated at a higher cost. .
• Dia de Los Muertos skull makeups take about 1.5 hours to 2 hours for more detailed work..
• Jobs requiring prosthetics or extremely detailed work may be estimated at a higher price and based on artist availability. (The Mask makeup as shown in pics required 4 prosthetics including a bald cap, brow covers, forehead prosthetic and jawline prosthetic + a paint job application which took close to 4 hours. Labor cost for something like this is around $650 + $100 supplies.)
• On location within 10 miles of our studios will incur an additional $85+ fee and will cost more if outside this range at $2/mile roundtrip (if we have mobile artists available).
• Service appointments are first come first serve with a 50% non-refundable retainer to book and 50% non-refundable balance due at least one week prior to the service date.
HOW BOOKING WORKS:
• For an estimate and to check artist availability, fill out the form below. Please include links of the look that you want in the text box. You may also attach pics in a separate email to maria@marialeemakeup.com. If links or pics are not sent, an estimate cannot be completed. If an artist is available, an estimate will be sent and if you approve it, you’ll be prompted to send a non-refundable retainer or full payment..
• MAKEUP PRODUCTS WE USE: We use professional rub-resistant face paints or water resistant airbrush makeup if it makes sense for your event. Our makeup generally stays on extremely well and you may only need to reapply lip products if necessary. As long as you are not sweating profusely, we have had many clients tell us that our makeup stays on ALL DAY AND NIGHT! Please describe the setting of your event for best results.
• ON HALLLOWEEN SATURDAY, our busiest day of the year…, our makeup appts are booked back to back, so you might need to wait while we finish and clean up upon your arrival. If you need to be at your event at a certain time and cannot be late, please book an earlier appt and try not to book too close to your desired arrival time of your event.
• Please do not bring other people to your appointment without permission (if they are not receiving a service).
